Ridiculous statements in this weeks study article
by the truth is mine inmaybe it is just me but when i read this paragraph all i could do is shake my head and wonder how i used to buy into this crap and how people don't wonder what the hell the writers are thinking'.

United States baptism stats 1969-2015
by the comet inwhenever the new yearbooks come out, we all look at the figures and see the publisher increase never really matches up with the baptism figures.
it never should match up as all newly baptized ones are already publishers, and may have been for many years.
i, as an example, became an unbaptized publisher at age 11. i didn't get baptized until i was 17. .

Is the Pioneer School being eliminated?
by wannaexit ini heard from the semi reliable source that the pioneer schools will go the way of the dodo bird next year.. i could see this happening.
it used to be that you went to the the pioneer school once.
then they allowed dubs to go every 5 years.

The biggest issue in my circuit was getting free housing for these students. Not sure why, but even the ultra-spiritual elders in my congo with plenty of room in their homes were extremely reluctant to provide a room for any pioneer students. They would actually ask everyone else first and then offer up their home only if they absolutely had to. In my last few years in, it got so bad that even the most inactive and "spiritually weak" members of the hosting KH were being asked to make room in their homes. It was a spiritual paradise indeed. -

New Field Service Format?
by jw07 init seems that hype is the only thing keeping jw.org alive and well these days (that and the money of suckers who continue to fall for it).. at meeting on monday, an elder announced "the faithful slave has seen it fit to change the format of our ministry in 2016, and more information will come".
i guess the desired reaction is to get jws preoccupied with what those changes could possibly be, and if it means that the end is nearer or some crap.. with that said, i've been suckered into wanting to know what these 'changes' will be.
does anyone know?

Publishers who send at least 1,000 tweets per month (that mention JW.org) and also maintain at least 100 faithful Twitter followers per month will automatically be considered Regular Pioneers as long as they show up for Field Service at least once per month.

yet, you might look beyond the obvious and ask yourself, does my child enjoy the ministry or only the breaks?
if you discern that the ministry could be more interesting or more rewarding for your children, set goals with them.

Why?
Some are actually convinced that Jay Hoover will give them a pass for their low Field Circus time if they donate a certain amount each month. I've actually overheard some Dubs expressing this delusional assumption in conversations with other "weak" Dubs. It's pretty sad when Dubs start to believe that they can supplement their spiritual weakness with money.
